Emma is sure that she is happy. She has a successful career, a sweet boyfriend, loving parents, until she ends up in the psychiatric ward of a hospital. This must be a huge mistake. After all, she is a perfectly normal person. Right?

A bird watcher finds a tiny bird-like creature with no parent to claim her. His wife insists on raising "Beedie" as their child and we follow her growth into maturity as she follows her instinct to flock with other birds.

The classroom is astonished when their teacher tells them his big secret: sometimes he turns into a frog. Two kids see it as their task to protect his secret.. and to keep him out of the beak of a stork.
