In the relentless heat of a grueling summer a woman begins to suspect a mysterious 'Cicada man' has implanted a live swarm of the insects in her body.

Subject of a violent attack, a young woman becomes recluse. As her fear to leave home escalates, her paranoia begins to run wild. Now immersed within a pool of self-nurtured insanity, she slowly starts to drown.

Starting out as nothing but a drunken whim, filmmakers Guy and Dave, along with their bartender friend Kuromi, set out to explore the site of the brutal and mysterious murder of a young woman in a love hotel, an incident that took place twenty years prior. The trio make their way into the middle of nowhere to the town, which is rife with rumours of ghosts and curses, and the now abandoned building. They document their night in the murder room—a night that becomes a terrifying ordeal.
